An Intimate Wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall
These photographs are from the wedding of Yana and George at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London.
They were having a very intimate ceremony with just eight guests, and I was booked for only one hour of wedding photography. With such a short amount of coverage, the aim was simple: concentrate on the moments that mattered and make the most of the time we had.

Old Marylebone Town Hall is a brilliant venue for a small London wedding. Even when most of the day takes place inside one ceremony room, the building provides plenty of character, with elegant interiors, beautiful light and plenty of details to work with.
I started by photographing George and his best man as they went through the final details of the ceremony with the registrar. At the same time, I was able to capture a few photographs of Yana getting ready before the ceremony began.

The ceremony itself was relaxed and intimate, surrounded by their closest family and friends. With only eight guests, it was easy to focus on the expressions, reactions and little moments happening around the room rather than interrupting anything or asking people to pose.
Almost all of the photographs from the ceremony were taken in the room where Yana and George were married. This is one of the reasons I enjoy photographing weddings at Old Marylebone Town Hall, even with a small wedding and limited time, there are still plenty of opportunities to create a varied set of natural photographs.

After the ceremony, we used some of the beautiful interior spaces around the building for a few relaxed portraits of the newlyweds. Nothing overly posed or complicated just a few simple photographs of them together before they continued their celebrations.
For couples planning a small ceremony, one or two hours of photography can work very well when the day is kept simple. It allows the important moments to be documented without turning the wedding into a long photoshoot.
